A Special Message for RIT students

To all RIT students, RTC has tried very diligently to provide the RIT School of Film with actors from our stable whenever requested for projects throughout the year. Unfortunately, economic times being what they are we will no longer be able to provide this service on an individual project basis. RTC makes a living off of the commissions collected from actors working on paying commercial jobs.

However, we will be working wit key members of the RIT staff to establish two special audition days during the year, once in the fall and once in the spring, when our actors will be able to attend an open casting at RIT, and where they will be allowed to perform 2 pieces of their choosing. The RIT faculty and student body will then be able to video and review these individuals for any upcoming projects they have that semester.

It is unfortunate that RTC has to make these sacrifices, however it has become absolutely necessary as we tighten our belts and focus on earnings. We thank you for your patience, and look forward to a better day when we will once again be able to spend more time contributing to both student projects and other non-paying independent films.

Thank you.
