360|365 George Eastman House Film Festival on Saturday May 8th.

 

 

RochesterTalent.com, Inc., in association with the 360/365 George Eastman House Film Festival (formerly known as The Rochester High Falls International Film Festival), has conducted the 2nd Annual "ScreenPlay Live!" Screenwriting Competition. Screenwriters from across New York State submitted their work for consideration in the competition, with three scripts being singled out for honors. Not only will the Winner receive the $500 Grand Prize, she will also have the opportunity to have professional actors perform her work in a live, staged reading as part of the festival.

 

In addition to the live reading, the winning screenwriter will be provided with travel and accommodations for the festival, and will be presented with an award at the reading.

 

  

Rules & Guidelines

  • The competition is open to New York State residents only. All ages are eligible.

  • Deadline: Entries must be received by the end of the day Sunday April 4th, 2010.

  • The Winner and runner-ups will be announced April 15th, 2010.

  • The entry fee is $20 per screenplay. Entries are accepted via electronic submission to ScreenplayLive@gmail.com. There is no limit to the number of screenplays you may submit. Mail check or money order only to RochesterTalent.com, Inc., PO Box 23861, Rochester, NY  14692.

  • The Winner will receive a $500 Grand Prize, as well as the rare opportunity to have professional actors perform their work in a live reading as part of the 360|365 George Eastman House Film Festival, May 5th-10th, 2010 (www.film360365.com). The Winner will also be provided with travel and accommodations for the festival, and will be presented with an award at the reading.

  • All entries must be in English and between 70 and 120 pages in length. No exceptions.

  • Each applicant will receive an e-mail notifying them of the writing competition results.

  • Submitted scripts must be original screenplays, and the sole property of the applicant(s).

  • Under no circumstances will substitutions of either corrected pages or new drafts of the entry screenplay(s) be made. Screenplays will not be returned.

  • Competition judges, readers and employees of RochesterTalent.com, Inc., past and present, and their immediate families, are not eligible.

  • Past WINNERS of the "ScreenPlay Live!" Screenwriting Competition are not eligible.
