Welcome to the 2010

"Screenplay Live!" Screenwriting Competition

 

RochesterTalent.com, Inc., in association with 360/365 George Eastman House Film Festival (formerly known as The Rochester High Falls International Film Festival), is conducting the 2nd Annual "ScreenPlay Live!" Screenwriting Competition. If you live in New York State, submit your feature length screenplay to compete for a chance to have professional actors perform your work in a live reading as part of the 360/365 George Eastman House Film Festival, May 5th through the 10th, 2010.

 

In addition to the live reading, the winning screenwriter will be provided with travel and accommodations for the festival, and will be presented with an award at the reading.

 

  

Rules & Guidelines

  • The competition is open to New York State residents only. All ages are eligible.

  • Deadline: Entries must be received on or before March 17th, 2010.

  • The entry fee is $20 per screenplay. Submissions are accepted via electronic submission (to ScreenplayLive@gmail.com). There is no limit to the number of screenplays you may submit. Mail check or money order only to RochesterTalent.com, Inc., PO Box 23861, Rochester, NY  14692.

  • The winner will have their screenplay read as a part of “Screenplay Live!” during the 360/365 George Eastman House Film Festival, May 5th-10th, 2010 (www.film360365.com).  The winner will also be presented with an award, and will be provided with travel and accommodations to the festival for the reading.

  • The Winner and runner-ups will be announced March 24th, 2010.

  • All entries must be in English and between 70 and 120 pages in length. No exceptions.

  • Each applicant will receive an e-mail notifying them of the writing competition results.

  • Submitted scripts must be original screenplays, and the sole property of the applicant(s).

  • Under no circumstances will substitutions of either corrected pages or new drafts of the entry screenplay(s) be made. Screenplays will not be returned.

  • Competition judges, readers and employees of RochesterTalent.com, Inc., past and present, and their immediate families, are not eligible.

  • Past WINNERS of the "ScreenPlay Live!" Screenwriting Competition are not eligible.
